Frysk Hynder Cask Strength
This is a Single malt whisky and matured for a minimum period of five years in used casks such as red wine, sherry, port or cognac casks. Currently this whisky is available from port casks. The alcohol percentage can fluctuate between casks.

The whisky before it enters the casks contains about 65% alcohol. In the cask occurs evaporation, in three years that is approximately 10%. The whisky we get out of the cask then contains about 55% alcohol. Because most whisky's are sold at 40% alcohol, the whisky is diluted to this rate. The five-year-old whisky is bottled at cask strength, this is a much less apparent way, but thus contains more alcohol.
